2025 Elections - Local 698 Officers & CSEA Board Seat

In 2025, the election process will begin for the election of Local 698 Officers (Executive Board) and for vacant seats on the CSEA Statewide Board of Directors. Local 698 must appoint a Committee by October 15, 2024. We minimally need one person who would serve as the Chair of the Committee.

What’s involved? Well, hopefully not a lot! The Chair (and Committee) is responsible for running the Local 698 election of officers including posting election information on bulletin boards and ensuring that information is posted to the Local 698 website. The Committee oversees the election process and is responsible for being the liaison with DASNY management, when applicable. The Committee runs the election, balloting, counting of ballots, and notification of elected officials. Any member running as a candidate for Local 698 Officer seat is NOT eligible to serve on the Election Committee.
